Hello everyone I hope you are well. This is my first visit to this station. I'm not disappointed, the train station is huge, you can enjoy the various restaurants located nearby and in the center station. The person at this station is actually competent, the information is important is correct. From this station there are many buses to go east or west of Toronto.

This is a station for passenger and commuter train. You have a many restaurants including a McDonald, Starbucks. A dollar store and big box office supply staples store. There is a food court. The station is connected to the subway, mall, offices, and hotel. You also have public restrooms.

First time taking the train on my own! High Five to me for being an adult! Not gonnna lie, I was a bit nervous. But everything is so clearly indicated that I didn't worry for long. I think it's very clean and well suited to handle people waiting for a train, passing by the underground tunnel, and eating. My train was at 6am so the only thing open was the Mcdonald's but it's great that they have something open 24/7!I will definitely be taking the train again on my next adventure!

Clean and easy to navigate. Staff were very helpful and friendly when assisting us with my young son. They helped us pre-board so he could avoid the escalator. Great station considering the old layout.

Montreal Central station is your gateway to downtown Montreal. Located in the heart of Montreal the Central station is a major access point for all types of public transportation, including the Metro, buses and trains. It is the gateway to the downtown core no matter where you need to go. Get the practical information that will help you while you are on the go. check out schedules, bus routes, nearby Metro stations, and details on both commuter and long-distance trains.

I used this station every two weeks for two years, whenever I arrive I feel that I'm home. Lots of shops, easy navigation to metro and nearby malls via underground pathways. Nice place to sit and wait for you trip if there's any delay or you arrived too early. Staff are helpful and friendly. More than one exit/entrance through major roads. Happy travels :)

Wow, this place is amazing & the shopping/restaurants is in abundance. Very clean, big building. Via Rail staff were informative & helped with our tickets. We also had access to the Business Lounge, which is the only way to travel. While on the train, meals were provided & were delicious.

A lot of space and sitting spots. Good selection of eateries and cafes. Washrooms could be cleaner. Selection of shops could be improved. I'd like to see more souvenir options. The current souvenir shop has very little souvenirs to choose from.

It's adequate. The workers are friendly and helpful. the food nearby and places to relax while you wait for the train is ideal and usually they are on time but I have been stuck there waiting an hour due to delays. Most of the via rail trains are excellent and clean and provide great space even for a taller individual. Overall, it's good.

Not the fastest trains in the world, but they get you to all the way to Vancouver from Montreal. The station is well located in the middle of Montreal.

Great Station. Connects to Underground City, Orange Metro line via Bonaventure Metro and Green Metro line via Mcgill Metro. It also connects to Place Bonaventure and the indoor skating rink upstairs of that. Clean and spacious and has good sized food court located in the train station.

There is a great feel/vibe inside the station and people are courteous. There has been an improvement in the variety of food available in the food court too. On the improvement side better signage with maps of the inside and outside for directions.

Back in 8 years ago when me, Sam and the rest our class took the train back home to Toronto after staying there for almost a week. I just want to say about this station it is very nice because they have a nice food court, easy pathways, high platforms to get on the train quickly without having to climb up those to get on and the station is completely indoors without having to wait outside in the cold for a train to come.

This railway station in downtown Montreal is clean and convenient to lot underground mall and lot of hotels nearby. Amtrak have service to this station from New York Penn station and I prefer to take this Amtrak train particularly in Winter due to Montreal requires to have radial tires on cars during winter months. Car rental Budget is on site and McDonald's is located within the station.

This is an important transport hub in downtown Montreal linking the commuter rail system with Via Rail's passenger trains, the Montreal Metro system and downtown's linked underground malls and passages.

I would like to say that they treated me like gold today as I was traveling from Halifax to Ottawa and had a layover in Montreal. I was travelling with my cat and she was feeling the best, she had an accident which they took care of both of us very well. I would like to say a very big thank you to Michelle and her staff,as they were so happy to help with no complaints what so ever. Taking Via Rail,I would recommend them to all of my family and friends.

To be fair, this isn't the greatest train station but I've seen far worse. Great service in and around the station as well as a huge selection of restaurants and coffee shops to choose from which makes waiting around less dreadful. The layout is great too, everything you would expect from a train station (simple and big open area making it easy to find what you're looking for). However, I didn't find it to be very "commuter-friendly" with limited seating areas for waiting passengers and exits are not practical at all. If you're making your way to the metro station from the inside I wish you luck (those stairs and escalators really need to be changed). The entire station could use some slight renovations very soon as well. All in all, service around the station is superb. There is always somebody walking around that you can ask for help with absolutely anything and they are extremely friendly. With some slight modifications this can become a beautiful train station.

I love trains, and this place smells like trains. Lots of little shops if you're in a hurry or you need to grab something on the way. Flowers, fast food, bread, coffee, alcohol. There is a food court if you just want to chill. Clean. Big. I love trains. 😁

Smart and helpful staff in this efficient and clean train station. Better than European train stations even. Travelling was extremely easy on the train and my experience at the Montreal train station makes me want to travel in this way even more. The lounge was very nice and the entire train station was well-run. Very well done.

When you need to go somewhere - this is a great place to start. Good ammenities typical of most good central city Train Stations. From here we caught the train to Toronto - 5 hour trip that was in fact probably better than flying (we flew up from Toronto). The business class lounge is very basic - but a nice way to start the trip.

The train station is large and spacious. I have been here twice and I find it a very cool place. People going in all directions. There a lot restaurants, and options to eat while you wait for your next departure. There are many officers and staff around to help you, if need it. This place is very safe, and I have never had an issue.

Minor stop in Montreal coming from Cornwall, ON and heading to Quebec City last year. Love connecting in this station as everything is labeled properly and people are friendly all around. There's also much to do while you wait which is an extra bonus! Never had a bad time here or Montreal in general.

Questions & Answers

yes there is a luggage room at check-in luggage.

the station was founded in 1943

There is luggage storage service but there is a fee. Also, they might be able to put your luggage on the train while you are boarding. This was a year ago; not sure if this service exists. I would call ahead instead.

Stasher.com had placed around the city you can store luggage for a very small daily fee.

Located at the baggage check-in counter

Not sure during the fall/ winter season. During the summer (to echo Yuvy) the student residences are economical. From experience, Grey Nuns (Rue Guy, almost two blocks down from Guy Concordia) was about 40.00 CAD a night for a single, dorm style bathrooms.

There is a plan with the list of restaurants. However, the opening hours are not displayed ... they close at different times better to get informed ...

Apart from mobility aids, no vehicle can currently be transported on VIA trains. With the exception of trains to Jonquière and Senneterre, there are no baggage vans in circulation.
